ESSO-INCOIS was established as an autonomous body in 1999 under the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) and is a unit of the Earth System Science Organization (ESSO). ESSO- INCOIS is mandated to provide the best possible ocean information and advisory services to society, industry, government agencies and the scientific community through sustained ocean observations and constant improvements through systematic and focussed research.

INCOIS was looking for a tool to better access the data so that the productivity can be increased. Their major challenge which they were facing was storage optimization.

We provided them IBM DB2 to cater to all their optimization and security requirements. It efficiently compresses data to decrease disk size and storage infrastructure requirements and tremendously increase the performance along with reducing processing power consumption. As Db2 is built on an intelligent common SQL engine design, it is able to accelerate for scalability and flexibility. The client was able to handle both structured and unstructured data on premises, Public cloud or private cloud according to his needs.
